Open team channels, invite-only channels, and direct lines between two people.
Get a notification when someone talks while WalkiTalki is closed. Mute any channel when you need quiet.
Tiny audio packets, automatic reconnection, and lost packets that fade to silence instead of breaking the stream.

Questions
No. WalkiTalki runs in Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox on phones, tablets and computers. You can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app.
Browsers pause web apps in the background, so live audio plays while WalkiTalki is open. When it isn’t, you get a notification and the message waits in replay. On iPhone and iPad, add WalkiTalki to your Home Screen to turn on notifications.
Never. The mic opens when you press the button and closes when you let go. If you switch on “Fast start” in settings, the mic stays ready while the app is open so you can start faster, but nothing is sent until you press.
About 0.5 MB per minute of talking, so even weak mobile connections keep up.
If you don’t subscribe, your workspace moves to the Free plan. You keep your oldest channel and all your direct chats. Upgrade any time to unlock everything again.
Yes. WalkiTalki uses whatever microphone and speaker your device has selected, and you can pick a specific microphone in settings.
